Robert Thoburn
Robert Thoburn, MD, was a certified US National Karate Federation (USNKF) black belt, regional coach and state referee. In 1998, he won the Florida State Championship and the USNKF National Champion-ship and served as a coach and instructor at the Katsu Dojo in Gainesville, Florida. He was a physician and has been in private practice with a specialization in Rheumatology, and retired in 1999. In addition to long-time business interests, he had a volunteer arthritis clinic and is a Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine with Shands Teaching Hospital.
